Rice Krispie Treats

I’m not one for much of a sweet tooth, but if you’re like me and you want a treat on the rare occasion, these rice krispies treats are the perfect thing!

What you’ll need:

             2 Tbspns vegan butter
             2 Cups vegan marshmallows
             3 Cups rice krispies
             ½ Tbspn vanilla extract
             Pan with deep sides
             Glass dish
             Wax paper
             Rubber spatula & spoon


First, heat up your pan on low and add in your butter until fully melted.

Then, add in all your marshmallows, stirring consistently until melted all the way. Be sure to keep stirring as it’s fairly easy to burn your marshmallows at this point!

Next, stir in your vanilla, and take the pan off the heat. Now slowly stir in your rice krispies until everything is combined. Be careful not to crush all your krispies in this step!

Next, grease your glass dish with a little butter and pour in your rice krispies mixture.

This gets pretty sticky here, so use your wax paper to gently push the mixture evenly in the pan, and then throw into the fridge for about 20 mins to cool.

Now go play some panda pop while they cool; more specifically continue to fail at trying to beat panda pop level 367 and forget about your treats in the fridge, ultimately remembering that you left them in the fridge a good while later.

Lastly, once you’ve recognized and admitted your addiction to panda pop, take your rice krispies out of the fridge, cut them into squares, and enjoy alongside another attempt at beating panda pop level 367!
